WV Girls Prep Basketball
2011-12 Stack
Week 1 -- December 7, 2011
Class AAA
What to watch for: With North Marion rebuilding the AAA field appears wide open. Most of the AAA schools now have programs that play year-round so RSN Sports doesn't look for this field to be clearer until late January.
Rank___School_______________________Record
1. South Charleston__________________1-0

9. Princeton_________________________2-0
10. Morgantown______________________2-0
Others receiving votes: North Marion (0-1), John Marshall (1-0), Spring Valley (1-0), Nicholas County (1-0).
Class AA
What to watch for: Summers County is still the team to beat of any class. The Bobcat schedule is a little tougher this year. AAA Nicholas County and Princeton could be the biggest bumps in the road. Look for Scott to work hard at putting up "style" points since they currently don't see Sunmers County head-to-head. Many feel this could be the Skyhawks year. The rest of the pack will assume their order more clearly by Christmas.

Others receiving votes: Braxton County (2-1), Ravenswood (2-1), Westside (0-0), Pikeview (0-0).
Class A
What to watch for: Huntington St. Joe is still the team to beat. Although they play several tough out-of-state opponents and occasionally take some losses, Central is always ready for the Mountain State competition. A lot of that challenge continues to come from the private Catholic schools which weigh top-heavy in our stack. However teams like Saint Marys, Williamstown, Buffalo and Pocahontas County can have something to say. Clay-Battelle and Fayetteville at 3-0? Hmmm.
